Sydney Forklift Trucks turns 25!
This year, Sydney forklift Trucks reached an incredible milestone - 25 years of delivering innovative material handling solutions to businesses across Sydney and beyond. From its’ humble beginnings in 1999 to becoming a trusted leader in the forklift industry, Sydney Forklift Trucks has been built on a foundation of quality, customer service, and long-standing relationships.
To mark this momentous occasion, we hosted a special anniversary event, celebrating our journey with our dedicated team and valued partners from HELI.
A Legacy of Excellence
Founded in 1999 by Ron Littler, Sydney Forklift Trucks began with a vision to meet the needs of the medium-sized forklift market. Over the years, our product range expanded to include everything from compact 1.8-tonne forklifts to heavy-duty 16-tonne machines, including cutting-edge lithium-ion electric forklifts and a fleet of 10-tonne container handlers.
Today, under the leadership of John Morris, we remain family-owned and committed to the same principles that drove our success—exceptional service, reliable equipment, and strong customer relationships.
Celebrating with Friends
Our 25th-anniversary celebration was all about honoring the past, enjoying the present, and looking forward to the future. We were thrilled to welcome some very special guests, including our founders Ron Littler and John Morris, who have led the way since day one. Joining them from the SFT team were Wendy Grace, our Hire & Logistics Manager; James Burgess, our Master Mechanic; and Chris Payne, Manager for Continued Improvement. From HELI Group, we were honoured to host Yang Anguo, President of HELI; Suzy, Deputy Manager for HELI Oceania; Wang Chao, General Manager for HELI Oceania; and Leon, HELI Oceania Sales Manager.
The event was packed with unforgettable highlights. After a warm and enthusiastic welcome, John Morris treated the HELI delegates to an exclusive Sydney Forklift Trucks workshop tour, giving them a behind-the-scenes glimpse into our daily operations. The energy peaked during a vibrant group photo session, capturing the day’s excitement—soon to be immortalized in our workshop gallery. With coffee and cake in hand, the teams shared stories, celebrated milestones, and explored exciting possibilities for the future, strengthening the bond that has fueled our success.
